Game delay because of too much calculations

Question Game delay because of too much calculations

Hello everyone,

I've searched a lot about this, but haven't got an answer.

The problem is that metin2 takes a lots of calculation once someone upgrades a stat point, uses a skill or anything like this.

These calculations results in some delay like 1-3 seconds which pretty bad in PvP-s.

Do someone know about there are any fix available already?

Hi,
you can simply decrease this delay by opening UserInterface\PythonNetworkStreamPhaseGame.cpp
and change the constant MAX_RECV_COUNT to a higher value.

Thank you man! I tought the root cause of problem begins in the server side source. But your suggestion solved it.

And what is the safe value? I think YMIR did not accidentally say that. Does this have any negative impact on performance? Server load?

I'm using 16 as value but I wouldn't go higher than 32,
as there is no difference about performance.

It can't have any negative impact on server performance,
since this constant describes how many packets at a time can be processed on client-side.

dude i found out about the no delay that its working if u simply just turn it on ull get disconncted :( but theres a trick after turning it on turn it of right away there u are its working all ready but once u already turned it on and off u cant turn it off unless you log out :( its very usefull in horror mod pls press thnks
