Root installiert MySQL nicht

Ich erhalte folgeden Fehler, wenn ich MySQL installieren möchte:

Ports aktuellisieren dan neu installieren

Ich hab die Ports aktuallisiert, bei mir kommt der gleiche Fehler:

Lesen bildet: "mysql-server-5.0.92 is already installed"
MySQL ist schon installiert.
Wenn du es unbedingt neu installieren willst benutz' vorher "make deinstall".

BTW warum benutzt ihr MySQL-Server 5.0 ? Nehmt doch 5.2 ...

Verusch mal:

cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql50-server

make deinstall WITH_XCHARSET=all clean

cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql50-client
make deinstall WITH_XCHARSET=all clean

und dann

pkg_delete -x mysql

danach reboote und installier ports neu. So nun könnt ihr nochmal von vorn installieren.

Installier 5.1 Gleichen Fehler hatte ich auch

Wenn du nun eine andere Version als 5.0 installierst, bleibt der Mysql server 5.0 immer noch installiert..
Ich würd am besten, wie oben geschrieben, Mysql komplett entfernen und danach kanns du dir eine beliebige Version aussuchen.

Ah ja schau in FZ cd /usr/ports/databases/ diesen Pfad an, welche MySql server und clients noch installiert sind, dann kanns du diese deinstallieren und löschen.

Dann steht dir ''Eig'' nix mehr im Wege , für neuen MySql server.

Ja halt Mysql 5.0 Deinstallieren also den Client und Server
Dann halt 5.1 Installieren so hat es bei mir auch Funtioniert

cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql50-server
make deinstall && make clean && make distclean
cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql50-client
make deinstall && make clean && make distclean

dann halt
cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql51-server/

Geht nicht. Habs mit mysql50-server, mysql51-server usw versucht klappt nicht immer der gleiche Fehler.

dann halt
cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql51-server/

Wird nicht klappen, da reste übrig geblieben werden, da man nicht komplett 50-server deinstallieren kann. Man muss einen teil selber entfernen in FZ.

MySQL55-Server In Versio 5.5.17 mit aktuellen Ports...
...wo liegt das Problem?!

Ich hab bis vor einiges Tagen auch noch 5.5 installiert gehabt welches man mit ein wenig Gehirnschmalz hinbekommt zu installieren.
Aber es arbeitet erstens zu langsam und unterstützt viele Sachen sprich Engines Funktionen usw.. der Metin2 Datenbank nicht bzw. nicht richtig.
Daher hab ich lieber MySQL 5.1 genommen welches alle Funktionen &' Engines für die Metin2 Datenbank unterstützt und auch um einiges schneller läuft als 5.5
Rate ich euch allen!
