If you are a player and want to use it, find the place which checks the name, and just edit the jumps to an error massage.
If you are a developer, find the place which checks the name in database, and check the name for any bad letters or words. then reply "1" if it contains bad words, "1" technically means "name is already taken" but hey, it gets the job done.
