Image sizing in threads help

Hey,

So when I attach an IMG its super tiny. What is the best resolution for said images? Should I be adding images as attachments with [ATTACH] or with [IMG]?

when using IMG does increasing expandable increase the size? If so by how much?

Just all a little confusing to me. Appreciate any help and guidance. Thanks!
