Question Question about egold trading protection

Hi all. Quick question regarding trading elite*gold. If I hire a developer and pay them with elite*gold, and then they exchange their elite*gold for crypto and proceed to scam me, am I still protected? Will I get my elite*gold back in the event I am scammed? I'd really appreciate any clarification regarding this. Thanks.

Hey,

nope, for services which require time you usually send the elite gold and lock it with a dispute.

After the developer is done and you received your product you'll cancel the dispute, which unlocks the elite gold.

This way you are 100% protected, just make sure to initiate the dispute within 5 minutes after the elite gold was sent.

Huh, I see. So it's like a Middleman is holding the funds essentially. The issue is, how does that protect the seller? Couldn't I technically claim he never delivered it and delete all logs of delivery and win the dispute? I would never do this, but seems like a loophole to me. Thanks for the answer Luke.

No, your claim will turn to a lie as soon as the seller is able to provide us evidence that he finished the project and delivered it to you. If he sent it by PM we can verify it easily, and you can't delete his Discord messages too.

You're welcome.

I don't know what I was thinking lol. I must have been out of it because I already knew I can't delete their DMs as well and if he shows logs of it sent to me then its obvious whos lying. Thanks!
