Please help a newbie

Hallo.
I created this account a couple of days ago and i have a trade request from someone who's shady. I won't mention why as that is ultimately up to me to decided (if he's shady or not). Anyways, he offered to send money to my PayPal FIRST, in which i don't see any risk. He can't withdraw the money, right?
If he actually sends the money to my PayPal, is there any way he could scam me?

It is possible to chargeback the money from paypal.
Paypal isn't really safe.

Yes, they are
In fact it's a common scam method to go first on PayPal (To look trustworthy)
since you can still refund a payment through the PayPal support at some specific circumstances (even if you sent a payment through family&friends)

Alright thank you all, i'm going to search for a middle man eventhough i'm not optimistic.

And i just realized that i have no idea how. LOL.
How can i trust the middle man if even the "high ranking" ones sometimes scam people.
And how do i find them. I know the technical stuff, like -add middle man- etc.
