Taking items out of shadow missions?

I've seen and witnessed people taking various items out of sms that are meant to disappear when you exit the mission. Items such as Barrier spike crystals, Arat berries, Ice mines and even Synthesized crystals from Dorren's Request.

Is there any possible explanation on how people do that?

Probably an itemdb.xml. I'm not sure.

Lol, I turned the dorren's request end items into sulfur, and the item still poofed, so I'm SURE that it isn't an itemdb edit. =P

I suspect it's a dll edit.

Now, I don't want to start the whole stupid "UG versus Public" discussion again, but you realize that anyone who knows isn't going to tell you.

It's like fireball/never miss range. Once it got out, it spread like wildfire. Perhaps part of that was because it was an easy edit. Well, I won't (because I don't <completely> know how) comment on what it takes to do this. I'm willing to bet that kaldeal is the only one who's posted in this thread so far before who has made an honest attempt at trying, and that I applaud. I'm also willing to bet that the OP has, at best, spent 10 minutes trying, and then deciding to go beg for it.

On second thought, I won't be surprised if the OP hasn't tried anything.

Anyways, what I mean to say is that this thread lacks a purpose. If someone figures out how to do it, I sure as hell hope that they're not going to come back here and post it for thanks. If something like this goes public, I assure you that it will be at most a month before it's gone. If you really want it, figure it out yourself, or with a group of friends. Then you guys can exploit it all to hell while knowing that the likelihood of it getting patched isn't painfully high.

People get removed from my guild for flaunting mods. We don't care how they use them. Just don't publically abuse them is a good rule.

I intend on still trying to figure it out for myself, but sharing it will only cause more bad than good. For those of you who don't understand, look at Nekojima, that's EASY to understand. When too many people abuse one thing, it just becomes a burden on everyone else :\

Still trying to figure out olly and ida, but i'ma keep digging through standard anyways xD

Is there any place I can go to get a better handle on how to use the programs? shortcuts, etc.

edit: would anyone be able to tell me if I'm looking in the wrong place?

Some people have been dropping items outside of sms altars along with screenshot proof of this.

I'm no good olly and ida editor myself but I understand why people want to keep it secret after all the previous ones like Nekojima, 1 charge fb and 100% ranged got patched when they were evidently spreading it to the whole community.

I am unable to do anything at the moment, since in IDA I see numbers starting in 100 and in olly I see 775 or something like that. anyone know what in the hell I'm doing wrong? xD

I've been trying that myself...

I wanted to take the Synthesized crystals from EASY mode, take it out and then use it in HARD mode.

If anybody has ever succeeded, PM me then I would even pay for how cuz it's worth more than the

money to me now.

all u have to do is make a party use the wing click yes on party members then contwarp and ull go there

People have done this, but they wouldn't tell you how if it is even possible still.
