Well so many people can only do so much...
And I doubt that npcs and quests are their biggest concern right now.

Yes there is stuff thats missing but it's better than waiting for someone to get scammed by tom. And those stolen official files need alot of work too.

just out of curiosity - how much can those filles possibly be worth?

assuming those are original server files - and how does one get them in the first place - maybe finding and getting to the soure is main issue here?

It depends on the buyer and seller on how much they think they are worth.
On a legal standpoint they are worth nothing because even after "buying" them you wouldn't "own" the files. The seller could just release those files a minute later.
The buyer thus has alot of risks.

Original files are usually leaked by a nexon/serverm employee.
Sometimes they are stolen from the servers.

The source......... only devcat has the source and I doubt anyone is stupid enough to release it.
Too many implications and wouldn't make any sense.

Great, I've searched on google about Mabinogi Pserver and I find this topic... Holycrap, will I ever have the chance of host and manage a minimally stable Mabinogi Pserver?

And people said that this pserver was working great... ****... ****!! HOLYYYYYSHIIIT!!

And I wasn't planning on do a game based on Mabinogi, just use it as a base because is the only game that has the mechanics I want for my custom game.

Also mabinogi reborn was a pserver made from stolen / leaked official files and the server owner would have never given them to you...

Maybe you should buy meals and pay rent for those people before asking...Why should skilled devs work for people who don't have skill?

Unlike 99.9% of people here who are who are hypocritical/greedy/douchebagy, Exec is truly an all around nice guy. You guys don't pay him enough for what he has been doing. He's got a donation page on his forum. Go donate to him if you really want a working mabi pserver.

I've been waiting for a good release of Aura since it began, still without dungeons functioning, at least is what I saw when I tried a release of it, which I downloaded I guess that two months ago or so.

Sadly I won't be playing this unless you can reverse engineer all of the content in a reasonable time, until then I will be waiting for the official Mabinogi to die and hopefully someone can make a emulator of the server when that happens. Thought I wish you guys luck

For me this would mean drop any attemt to log in because atm i cannot even play on the current official mabinogi since i crash in several places i didn't before, like Tailltean, Tara, among others (by just my character being there) and surprisingly for the 10th anniversary, i crash on Festia.

Justify that on a game that is from 2k3 without excusing Nexon for breaking the code or saying that the game is too old.

On my case i want to get on the server but i get error 0x015002, i tried all their fixes yet i still get it (adding all the VC++ that has existed, creating an exception for MabiPro, so on so forth) on my windows 8.1 on my XP i just get is not compatible with win32.

Edit: I'm back after... 19 days? i thought i was out for a month or two, anyhow mabipro runs like a breeze for me, in contrast to the official server that runs like **** for me, the mabipro server has the pleione engine loading up at around 5 seconds, while on the official server... it takes me around 10 minutes (in one of the updates you could return to a dungeon if you could log back in in less that 5 minutes)
