You dont need the terminal to install **** on linux. It's an option now.

Before it was, plus installing through terminal is faster. And cleaner.

Linux does everything perfectly EXEPT, windows only proggies, aka games, pshop, etc. but outside that, it's just:

Install in 10 mins.
Get your progs in 20-30 mins without opening the web.
You're set.

I still detest linux, although now I don't have to have linux when I set up my web server... I got windows server 08 for free through microsoft dev :3

Whilst I don't LIKE linux, almost all server driven applications are linux based.
