Yes you got the wrong impression, it doesn't work with synthing. Pretty sure the materials aren't even duped. The crafting process just finishes without you getting the materials.

Synth will just stop.

Not only that, GM testing area has a check on it, as does Nekojima. If you have either the nekojima feather or a way to teleport to the GM testing area, you still wont be able to go to either. You'll be get a black screen and be booted to Tir.

Highly true, I could not agree more, they added the same check for Giants that got magnum shot. However I believe NekoJima only applies the check on NA server.
But I also do believe that there is a way to stay on NekoJima regardless of the check. But there is not really much a way to test that method anymore.

It involves a ******* rock and an NPC.
