If you think the entire post is a pity-grab from one line, you shouldn't be trying to hard to find a cop-out.

Elf lag fix, automatic data folder reading, CP view, ending ad blocking, show item price, show true item durability...
Lots of game-breaking shit right there, I tells 'ya! :P
My main use of memory patcher mods was for zoom (though thankfully people have figured out how to modify the area files to make older areas zoom further back now so it's not really needed).
As for Pake I used it first out of curiosity, but then seriously when the NPCs were all killed, so I could do things like repair equipment and continue quests.
Yes this forum (in particular) gets a lot of people asking how to dupe, but there's plenty of other reasons to use mods/hacks at all (just look at how popular,
if not considered required, data folder mods still are for plenty of examples).
Dedrain knew that, and that site provided help for newbies in regards to non-breaking game mods (again, in the incarnation I saw). This site, on the other hand, assumes that every new person is a plague or something.
It's a good way to starve yourselves to death, you know. Don't help any new users, purposely keep any development information out of the public hands, discourage people looking for non-breaking mods, and no growth will happen... while on the other hand, people get bored of online games eventually, so the current population will dwindle as time goes on.
A net loss of people who know what they're doing shouldn't be encouraged.
(Of course this doesn't apply to those who crash channels and dupe and such, popular opinion is thankfully that those people SHOULD have their abilities removed.)
It should be obvious that my first post wasn't aimed specifically at you, since you're helpful. The people who keep finding their posts/threads deleted
on epvp are the people who need to realize their behavior needs to change.

That was my point, to point out the obvious contrast between this site and the incarnation of dedrain I joined.
