Dualboxing - Interlude private servers

Yo guys,

I noticed that there are a few interlude private servers, where u can not dualbox. (well, thats atleast what they say )

When u try to run their client a 2nd time u get a pop up message that says, u are not allowed to run this client a 2nd time. Then the client closes.

All the 3 servers I tried that on brought the same lil pop up.

My question is:
Is there any way to get dualboxing working for such servers ? With any special tools or tricky things?

I even tried to start the 2nd client on a different user account, but all the time it detects the 2nd running client.

Maybe we got some experienced ppl with this, or know atleast how this protection works.

As far as I know these servers use the official C4 PTS files, modded to interlude. So no l2J.

well if i remember right some servers used theyre own system with edited dlls that checked the runing apps for a runing instatnce of l2 ... but i really dont remember how i buypassed it (its like 2 years ago) :|
if can figure something out i will post it

well i checked the second server and the system files are protected with themida(dont have any experience with it) and i dont have time now to study it :| maybe some1 else have an idea what to do with it

Use Sandboxie, works on many private Server with Dual Box Protection

Hi Lionna,

I tried to run l2.exe through sandboxie. Therefor I right clicked on the tray icon -> default box -> run any program -> then I choosed the l2.exe.

But when l2 was about to start up, I got an error that told me I have to install directX9 ... Ofc I got that lol.

Some other application didnt start up either.

What am I doing wrong ? Would be cool if u could help me out.

well u could also use a virtual machine like vmware to run a second l2 client there,but for that you would have to have a good PC and the knowledge to setup the program
