you need
1. JDK:
a. Simple, just execute the jdk-1_5_0_04-windows-i586-p.exe file to install the needed java components.
b. Now here come's the hard part.....Done....
2. Installing MySQL:
a. Unrar or unzip the mysql-4.0.23-win.zip file.
b. Install sql to the location you want it to go.
c. After installation, reboot your system.
d. MySQL should now be running as a service.
e. done
3. Installing Navicat:
a. Execute the file and again install it to the location where you want it to go.
b. Now run the program.
c. Select new connection, and fill in the fields like shown on the picture.
d. Single click the connection (it should turn green), then right click on your new localhost connection, and create a new database with the name l2jdb.
e. Close the navicat program, and go and have a smoke :]
f. Done....
4.- Install Eclipse and obtaining Source Code:
a. Extract or unzip the eclipse-SDK-3.1-win32.zip file
b. Run eclipse
c. Press on:
d.Check Search new features to install, click on New Remote Site and enter:
Name:subeclipseURL:
e. press ok and finish, check subeclipse to install and press next, accept the terms, next and finish
f. now eclipse is downloading subeclipse, be patient, when it finishes press on install all and then on yes when it ask you to restart eclipse
g. now subeclipse (the svn module for eclipse) is installed, press on:

h. Click on Check out As Project to start downloading the sourcecode
i. When this finishes (be patient, this will take some time) you will see a new project with the laltest svn sourcecode of l2j
j. Now you must configure your java you installed earlier so it may compile your server. So now you must open Window > Preferences. then look for
the + sign next to "Java" and press it to drop down the menu. Look for "Installed JREs" and select it. Now you must look on this list for "jdk1.5.0_*"
and check it as your compiler. If you do not see this Java in the list, Click the button "Search" and search your local hard-drive for the required file.
If you do not find it, you did not install the Java file correctly from earlier. After that you simply click ok once "jdk1.5.0_*" is selected.
k. Now go to Window > Show View > Other > Ant
l. Now a new window "Ant" should appear next to the "Outline" window. Now go to it and Click on the icon that looks like an ant "Add buildfiles"
L2_GameServer > build.xml. Then click ok.
m. Now look in your Ant window and there should be a whole new group. Click on the + sign to drop down the menu and double click on "Dist (Default)"
and this will compile your server.
n. Now pay close attention to the next window because it will display where it compiled a much needed zip file which is your main server files.
o. Create a folder to extract the server into. (example: C:/L2J)
Go to your workspace location and extract the files in l2j-server.zip to your l2j-server folder and overwrite any old files if you have a previous version.
5. Getting the data in your database:
Create your loginserver and gameserver databases to match the ones in loginserver.properties and server.properties respectively (the default for both is l2jdb.)
Edit and run database_installer.bat for windows users, or run database_installer.sh for linux/unix users.
6. Installing and configuring the actual server:
a. Unrar or unzip the l2j-server.zip file.
(Note: In changeset 329, the server.cfg was moved the /config folder and renamed to server.properties
b. edit in the \gameserver\config\server.propertie s and the \login\config\login.properties your IPs and the Mysql User and password
start the login server first
