so i'm wondering why some people create a smurf account?
I don't see any point in gathering all runes/Champs/skins again lol
If you want to start from scratch just make a new team or so?

Most hardcore players have a smurf account, not only is it fun to level it slowly on the side when bored but having it allows you to play duo que with lower elo friends and mess around in solo que without risking you're mains elo.

Because on a level 30 account with over 1k games you can't really 'learn' to play a new champion without getting called a noob. People expect you to make picks you are good with. So to avoid flaming and such people just start from scratch And it's never bad to have an extra account

There are multiple reasons to create a smurf account. For very high elo people its because of the high Q times, but that is only a minor part of all smurfs. A lot of people make a smurf to have a backup account, in case the main account gets banned or hacked. Other people are looking for some easy wins to boost their ego or their e-*****. Some sell their smurfs to make money. In my case, i made a smurf account to play some warmup ranked games before i play on my main account.
