How to get Ref link 1.0 (not accesible for new accounts?)

Hi,

Today I got a report of someone that never had referrals.

He didn't click on the new ref system yet, but the option to continue with old system not available.

Did riot change rules?

Well, it seems pretty logic to me. It's like, guys who already used 1.0 system have privilage to continue this. But the rest, who didnt ever try out their old (for me better, for now) system can't use it. Riot didnt make this update to support bots, but to avoid them, so they are doing it from step to step. They can easy start doing it by newcomers.

well but I have report of people that had some old refers, today they log on, and they went directly to ref 2 system. without being able to choose it.

So not only ppl never used, but people that doesn't use for many time

If you have not used the 1.0 system yet you are not allowed to continue/start using this one.
I guess your friends' refs did not reach level 5 hence they are not count.

I switched to West just before the Referral update, and now I can't choose to continue with 1.0
