Tutorial to Avoid Scam

Hello everyone , as you know Epvp is a free website easy to regist to everyone can create an account here , honest people disonest people desesperated people, on this post I will try to focus on disonest and desesperated people.

Who are this disonest persons--> usually they are trying to get your money without work or trade anything and they Will do everything possible to do it and I mean everything.

So here are some few steps to avoid getting scammed.

1- When you are new at Epvp always try to trade with trusted people.

2- When trading with non-trusted people like a 0/0/0 guy ( no offense to 0/0/0 guys we all started from the bottom just that those guys are normally the scammers), always try to go as second or make him present some proof he can do the job or that he has the item you need and then ask for a Middleman.

3- Always request a trade, thats why TBM was created to see who is trusted and who isnt.

4- When the guy you are trading with get a Middleman always check if thats his real skype account, A lot of fake skype accounts pretending they are some trusted middlemans and remember step 3 when you are trading with Middleman also.

5- Split Payments, even trusted people can scam so I recommend all to split their payments.

6- Always be nice before the trade and dont accuse anyone of being a scammer just because he didnt gone first in the trade, everyone has the right to want to go as second or to refuse to trade with you.

7- This is a very important point, If you got scammed, its your fault, if you follow these steps probably you never will get scammed ever.[/COLOR]

Now i will make my point to desesperated people

1- You need a job or a item really fast and a unstrusted guy have that code that you are looking for about 1 year, always suspect dont go first and hand him the money just because you want it so bad.

2- A trusted person his selling his service/items for 40€ and a unknown guy for 20€, you buy to the unknown guy and get scammed well you lost your 20€ and now you have to buy for 40€ and you just spent 60€

Now a poost for the things scammers use to do.

1- Make lower prices to attract more people to it.

2- Create multi accounts and TBM each other.

3- Make 1314514 threads about the same thing.

4- Claim they have been scammed before even that they have 0 trades on epvp so you have to go first this time.

5- Trade with a fake middleman that is actually his friend with a fake skype account.

6- Create a remote story so you trust them.

7- Talk well and know how to persuate you.

8- They refuse to trade with high trusted people and just ignore them

End

Well guys I rly hope this will help you all .

The best way is to protect yourself first.

Patience is key if people want something they will buy it.

Also if it sounds too good to be true.

Example.

Diamond Account 30 Euros.

Ya ur gonna get scammed.

Also a good part of a seller is to be able to persuade someone to buy your stuff. A lot of this is wrong.

No its not wrong, thats what scammers do, it doesnt mean you are scammer because you do this.

You know whats a corrupt police?
A police and a corrupt police they both have guns, they both suit up the same costume and use the same badge to work, the difference is that one is honest and the other isnt .
Its the same thought, just because you do 2/3 thinks scammers do It doesnt make you disonest or scammer, but people should be aware of this methodes to scam

All you have to do is read the official announcements and use your common sense.

This is a trading section, I think there's no need to repeat all this in another thread that won't be seen by more than 20 users having the said announcements on the top of the forum all the time.

This guy is correct.
Anyways, you can investigate the seller / buyer as well by doing this method :
  • Click Find More Post by the Seller / Buyer or Find More Threads started by the Seller / Buyer
  • Investigate it.

If you can't find anything, Find a Middleman or don't trade with the guy.

One way to avoid scam

Scammers might claim to be a highly respected User on this forum. But its really easy to find out if they are real or not. Send a pm to whoever they claim they are and tell them to reply to it. If they are the real User, they will do it for you. If they are fake, they will probably come up with excuses such as "stop wasting my time" or "lets call this off." You might as well just call the trade off but you might be tempted because the scammers will offer a really high price for your account....
