Finding a lower rate server is something you will struggle with. Offering lower rates means server owners will have to combat hackers trying to cheat to gain an unfair advantage ingame. This is one reason why most servers are max level in a single day. Sitting at the arena capped and with max items in under 48 hours isn't exactly fun either. Especially with LastChaos being a exp oriented game. LastChaos was created with grinding and exp'n in mind. The PvP in LastChaos is terrible and its implementation on such a poorly written server makes it that much worse. Like I have said many times before, LastChaos (including official) servers will never be as good as the game could be until someone writes an emulator for it. A emulator by someone like myself who has at least some logic in threading sockets that would help overall better sync the client to the server when under load. This is something (I haven't checked yet) that the official files I believe have never done. One thread per client wasn't the approach that Barunson Games took. This is why other players jump around ingame when moving and why PvP is so heavily reliant on ping and other stupid aspects. Mark my words, the first emulated private server that uses completion ports will be the most popular LastChaos private server ever created in history (and the perceivable future). The 2009 source code is available for reference to figure out how the game handles specific actions. Tho I would strongly urge rewriting the server files from scratch. I started writing a Episode 1 emulator last year completely from scratch but gave up the project. With the latest ex-rogue and archmage files soon being public the only reason behind an emulator would be to enhance the game. Something I transgress to without a lot of support.
