Keep the section organised, filter out irrelevant posts and make sure useful information doesn't get lost in spam.
(Programming, main and pserver sections anyway. I seldom visit the other sections.)

(Aside from people such as Ultimation, Ultima, Dan, Caffeine, Myself, Korvacs, and so on; though I think in both maturity and being professional at not only coding, but administrating, Sparkie[unknownone] exceeds us).
if he wanted to be considered seriously then maybe he should of taken the time to seriously fill out the application. I dont doubt his ability (hence why i said nothing other than the application was poorly written).

with him here there is A good chance the CO-comunity will progress,come on look at where the comunity has gone in the last 6+ months,basicly no one is doing anything or even trying anything new.
But,I dont see lowfyr aproving it....look at the convo in the CO underground lowfyr showed A disslike of unknownone when it was requested to let him in the underground,Did he ever get in?He dont need in honestly but WE wanted him in, he knows more then most of us put together.Sparkie is A good guy came back to the CO section after A long time away just to help US ALL with the new enc.

The reason for the short app is because I expect whoever will be making the decision already knows who I am and whatnot. I'm also under the impression Lowfyr dislikes me, so I never had much hope anyway, but thought I'd shoot in the dark.
The details in the app are pretty meaningless in my eyes anyway. Anyone could sweet talk a paragraph or ten about themselves, but it doesn't really say a great deal about them other than their ability to use English. I've over 4 years of posting relevant, useful information which can explain all this better than a block of text.
The meaningful question there I answered properly. The reason I want to moderate is to organise the forum, so relevant information is in it's proper place above the useless stuff. I also want to encourage good coding across the forum, so people are writing useful and reusable code rather than the smell that is regularly posted. I'm not after moderating just to delete spam (although I certainly wouldn't ignore it), but I don't doubt that the current moderators already do a good enough job anyway, I just don't see a moderator who's has the both the knowledge and willingness to sieve out the good posts.
(In short, I would moderate rather strictly to encourage good posting, though obviously not stepping beyond my boundaries).
maybe someone who joined close to or before the time he did should make the decision. no offense or anything. they would be more knowledgeable on what he has done and not just base it on a "short app" reason. calling his "self-opinionated" answer is the same as calling yours "lazy". he was helping e-pvp 4-5 years before you guys even joined ^.^ i mean this in a good way, so like i said no offense.
Most of you are missing the big point of the mod job, he might be the smartest person in the world, but if he dosen't do a guard job (report), it means not that active, cannot be a moderator, moderator needs to know the rules of forum not to know how the game operates although that is good too. To be mod start as a guard, and report broken rules then move on to moderator possition, Lowfry is not the only one adding mods, you have several Co-admins and comunity manager that can add you, but with poorly written application like this and poor activity (in moderating way) the chances are pretty much 0 for you to become a moderator.
Well i do not actually know him but ive been around a while and i have seen what he is capable of, also coming from Hybrid (infamousone) if hybrid says he is good he must be. Then again i havent seen him post in a while.
