If I may, I'd like to clear some things up about Korvacs.
This person here has one of the most in depth knowledge bases of Conquer Online in which it is just not funny. He knows all the coding in's and out's as well as the detailed structure of game play itself. This is the kind of thing a moderator needs to manage a section.
As he knows what is going on in game, he can read a thread and know what they are talking about and moderate accordingly.
He was the main admin on a website in which possessed the largest database of Visual Mods for Conquer Online and has also contributed to the Conquer Section throughout the past year (Some of which I was not here for)

It's a big job to moderate the numerous sub sections in the CO2 Section.
I can only assume you do not check most posts in the Conquer Section daily with detailed precision...especially in the Private Server Section.
Being a former mod of the CO2 Section, it is a job which takes patience and a job which requires great coding knowledge and reasoning.
Korvacs is the man for the job, no doubt.

Again, you don't need any coding skills to moderate the section.
I doubt that a moderator is supposed to edit threads with invalid/poorly coded codes, or stuff like that. There are no need for a moderator to know what C Sharp is, or any programming language in that case, since the section is pretty much the way it is right now due to all the people who flames eachother, spam, post binary and harass each and another.
Don't know what you guys think, but yeah..

Once again, being a former moderator of this section you pretty much always need to be good at coding!
Its not just about moving and organising threads, its about giving good informal feedback to users as you are looked upon as a person who has earned the position of being a moderator. Your the ambassador for the future of Conquers Game Hacking at ElitePvPers.
Anyone can organise threads, it takes a good moderator though to be able to answer questions...and this site is all about hacks and making them.
Coding is pretty much a must, considering how many questions are asked of moderators which are coding based. New users for example PM you about simple programming and it is the moderators job to give them good/informal information about this.
This is all coming from experience remember.

Well I agree with you that coding knowledge isn't necessary.
But it's still helpfull!
My other disslike is that korvacs opend a half year ago a thread where he complained about the forum and stuff like "community sucks" and I don't really like to see a future Moderator who did this.

The best moderator around here doesn't know programming (Talking about John Dread).
I'm also sure most of the moderators don't know programming, although they all are very good.
Anyhow, we should really leave this thread, final point is that personality is needed, not programming skills - although it's good.

That was when i left for a while due to numerous reasons, one of them was because virtually no one shares information in the community, but i decided to change that and start a wiki which will contain all information about Conquer.
You should go back and read some of the things that Emme said before he was made a moderator, im pretty sure if your going off things that people have done in the past that he would never have been made a moderator if that had been considered durring his application
But i suppose its different for everyone.

Point taken, we have said all we can say. Though our opinions vary we should leave it to the admins.

Thats a very big point you've made. Emme was a mass spammer wanting people to make him private servers. Through perseverance though and a change in character over time, Emme became a mod.
Anyhow, as SimplyPerfection has stated I agree that we should leave this once again to the admins. There has been much debate over certain issues and there is enough info for the admins to make a decision.

Goodluck Korvacs and may the moderators take the right decision. The section really needs a new moderator.

You need a mod to close your threads and delete/clean your posts.

Why do you want to be moderator?
The Conquer section is in need of a 'do-over' and tidying up. I personally think i am the person for that job. When i firstly came here it was from another forum aka rage****, wont say the name incase of advertising issues. Which i had been there for ages, but this forum appealed to me so i thought id observe for awhile then...

Moderator Application [Conquer Online 2]
04/21/2009 - Joining e*pvp - 16 Replies
I am trying to make this short due to you not getting bored ^^
I looked at andy123's post on the questions to get an idea of what to say ^^
ICQ UIN:
-= I do not use ICQ nor have I heard about it until now, but I use yahoo frequently, but I have gmail, and I only use that for special purposes, and I would be happy to give this out to a Global Moderator, Moderator or an Admin, or a high ranked member.
Email:
-= For private and security reasons, I cannot give out my email on this post,...

ICQ UIN:
-= I personally do not make use of ICQ. I have not in quite a few years. I use MSN all the time and am constantly on it, almost always reachable. Should this suffice as a replacement, I'd be more than happy to give it out to a high standing member that asks for it.
eMail:
-= I'd have no problem giving this out to an administrator or moderator that asks for it, but for obvious reasons I cannot or rather will not post it publicly here.
