I'm going to go with no at the current time, you hold potential but I would like to wait a little longer until I can get a better grasp.

If the section has so much cause for concern, it would be really useful if you reported said posts/threads. Moderators react a lot quicker towards reports rather than checking every single post.

I Don't think you really know what is going on in that section ? If you do then you should know that our moderator didn't do his job for almost 1 year & that section got spammed by random & frustrating threads. If you don't then why taking that wrong attitude about him from one post.

Also thndr was the most helpful & answered Those random & frustrating threads with no problems or negative attitude, he even answers all questions posted .

If admins don't accept his application, that section will be more messy than ever

No. It's as appose to creating threads about your application. It gains support.

Thank you all for the valuable feed back so far.

I have added my application post in my signature as suggested, although I have still not found any rule against my original topic either.

I appreciate everyone's opinion on this matter, as I stated before even people who are against my application have a right to say so for whatever reasons they have.

One last thing I would like to say. Our forum section specifically Rappelz Private Server moderation is not as much about posts, topics or members who are violating the rules. Agreed that is one of the responsibilities. In a private server section it is also about organization even more so, if someone trying to build a private server can't find any useful information because sticky topics are old and outdated and do not contain the latest information then the forum becomes more difficult to use.

You can not report disorganization. It is difficult to PM a moderator and discuss organization who's last post in these forums was in March of 2014. It is the inactivity that has lead to other members of the forum trying to apply for this position.

If I can look up this current moderator of our sections last topic posted just through an advanced search, it should also be even easier for the administration to see our moderators last activity in the moderation logs.

Again this is not really about reporting posts and activity against reports. This is more about the last time a sticky topic was created or edited or even an old sticky unstuck. These are valuable things to consider when you review whether or not the section has had any moderation activity.

To others reading this topic from our section of these forums, please lets accept what these other moderators and forum members have spoken about their opinions on my application and allow this topic to run it's course in an organized manner.

If I can appreciate their opinions about my application, then other people in support of me should be able to as well.

I support Thndr as I have watched the man help people time and time and time and time again without asking anything of himself. I can also affirm his is involved in no Private Server Projects.

I'm not sure what's going on with the 'It's not a rule but we're saying it's a rule because we wanna' stuff. Seems kinda shady, a really slippery slope of a mentality. The problem in the Rappelz section is not the 'spam' or the 'infractions' it's that the old moderate took a lazy route and threw everything into these collection lists which are impossible to maintain effectively as our dearest mod proved himself.

It also detracts from the 'ease of use' factor that most people expect when they come to a section. Up-Front stickies with relevant information and links. Good posting rules and example layouts. Our section has none of this, mind you.

Well, then it's not spam if it's a necessary report.

EDIT: Also, regarding the stickies and stuff, if things like this want to be maintained, you can always communicate with the said moderator on your opinions if the thread should get stuck. I'm not aware of how you tried to deal with this situation, but talking with the mod at hand can really help.

I can't say too much regarding the section itself, but these problems could be easily fixed just by communication and reporting said issues.
