Took me a lot of times to actually add screenshot and links into the spoilers .
Please post questions if you have any related to any mod.
Thanks to the ORIGINAL makers of these mods (Their nicks will be seen when a particular plugin is added to HoN Modification Manager)
DotA item/hero replacement icons (RECOMMENDED!)
***UPDATE: Mod has been updated. Icons have all been mirrored to show correctly. Have changed install method so that no files are replaced within textures.s2z (icons will STILL need to be copied into textures.s2z though) and now the ability to install hero + item replacement or just item replacment icons. Have also added new hero icons for new heroes.
You will need to re-download the texture pack again (00000000.rar) from here:
OK, here it is guys.
Replacement icons that will change the items/hero icons to DotA ones.
Instructions:
You first might want to back-up your textures.s2z before you try this.
1. download the icon pack from here:
2. Extract the rar file. You should now have a folder called 00000000.
3. Open textures.s2z (located in: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game) in winrar, 7zip or whatever. I'm using winrar in this example.
4. Copy the 00000000 folder into the textures.s2z file. This will add the dota icons.
5. Now either download the
Heroes and Items mod pack:
Or
Items only mod pack:
And copy the file into the game folder (C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game)
***To uninstall simply delete the resource file (resources22.s2z) from your game directory (C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game)***
Enjoy.

Banlist Assist (RECOMMENDED!)
Banlist Assist
This tool is designed to make banning easier and to improve the overall quality of bans by automatically providing pertinent information. Right now this is the only mod that modifies the game_menu.interface, so no combination modding is needed.
Feedback, suggestions, and bug reports are much appreciated!
Overview:
Banlist Assist works by modifying the ui/game_menu.interface to alter the in-game menu, and ui/game_lobby.interface to initially load the variables. It adds an "X" button the the left of each user name, as seen in screenshot below:
After an "X" is clicked, the following dialog is displayed:
This prompt allows a user to see various game and player info. It also provides basic templates for banning. In the screenshot above, the "Feeder" button was pressed, loading the Feeder template.
The current template information is as follows:
Leaver: Leaver, left at <match_time> in <match_id>
Flamer: Flamer, in <match_id>
Feeder: Feeder, level <hero_level> <hero_name>, <kills>/<deaths>/<assists> at <match_time> in <match_id>
Lamer: Lamer, in <match_id>
In addition to using the pre-defined templates, the Reason: textbox is able to be manipulated like any text box in HoN. Simply click in the text box and add or delete any information you wish to be added to that ban notation, as seen in the screenshot below:
By default, Banlist Assist will not display ban information publicly. If you would like all other ingame players to see the person you banned and the ban details, simply check the "Display ban" check box:
The format of text displayed in all chat is: "{User color and name} is banned as: {Ban reason}"
Currently Working On:
- Custom templates
Known Issues:
- Banlist Assist will not get all the game information in Practice mode, as the game doesn't properly update the triggers needed.
Changelog:
v0.20 (October 24, 2009)
- Added a check box that gives the user the option to display ban details in chat or not
- All ban details now displayed in chat, as opposed to simply "{User} has been banned"
- Updated icon.png in .honmod
v0.10 (September 26, 2009)
- First "Official" release as resources051.s2z
- Fixed the reason text box containing old information; the text box now clears on clicking "Ban" or "Cancel"
- The "Ban" button will now close the Ban dialog
v0.01 (September 25, 2009)
- Initial release

Features
- Addon compatible
Modders can make addons for the mod. What are the advantages of doing this? As an addon you get a button inside the menu of the Improved UI, where you can put all the options for your mod/addon, instead of each addon having a button somewhere in the interface, while you have your code on your own package. The only difference between an addon and a standalone is the options inside the menu, any mod can be converted into an addon. A simple guide here.
- Death Timer
You can easily see when a hero is dead and how long until they respawn, you can also enable the mod to warn your team on chat when an enemy, ally or yourself has just respawned.
- Improved Minimap
A movable and scalable minimap that you can toggle to show/hide with a hotkey, you can also change it's opacity and make it clickable or not.
- Target UI
A frame that shows the HP/Mana of the target, you can move and scale it, toggle Buffs/Debuffs and Effective Health (both Physical and Magic).
- Info Panel
A small panel with a lot of information that you can toggle on/off individually, it shows the info of your Active Unit and your Target. Some of the info include Dps, both Armors %, both Effective Healths, HP and Mana regen/s, time till full HP/Mana in seconds, Movespeed and others.
- Team UI
A frame for each Allied Hero that you can move wherever you want, showing name, HP/Mana bars, Gold, Skills levels and cooldowns, with a couple of layouts you can chose from. Also you can chose to show bars below the Ally hero units' hp/mana bar, wich show the status of each of their skills.
- Movable Chat
The game chat is now movable so you can place all the rest of the panels where you want without getting in the way of your messages.
- Others
Some other minor options you can turn on like buff times above the buff icons.
- Very Customizable
You can toggle on/off all of the features so that you only use exactly what you want. Many of the frames are movable and scalable, and all of them have various options to customize them further, all of wich stay saved after you exit the game.
- Easy to use
Just install it, open the menu by clicking on the "blue +" on the top-left corner while in a game, configure it however you want and you are good to go.
Screenshot (A bit outdated):
Addons
- Juking Map
It shows an image with the Caldavar map and most of the juking spots, the addon uses the same options as the minimap options, with a hotkey to toggle, options to enable, change scale and opacity. This is meant as an example for modders to make their own addons, but it is fully functional.
- Levelup Hotkeys
With this addon you can chose a hotkey to levelup any of your skills, including stats.
- Autocast Hotkeys
With this addon you can chose a hotkey to toggle the autocast of any skills.

Cursor Mod: Brighter Targeting Crosshairs
Cursor mod: Brighter targeting cross-hairs
*updated on 24 Aug 2009 16:40 GMT-5*
This mod was created because of discussion of the targeting cross-hairs being too dark, and blended too much with the game's terrain, causing some players to lose track of their cursor. I increased the brightness on all the cross-hair cursor by 50%. Let me know in this thread if you feel this is too much, not enough, etc.

Note: This mod will work with all other mods currently out, because this is the only cursor mod out so far.

Persistent 'Create Game' Settings
Current version: 1.8
PSR Filter Addon version: 1.5
Change Log:
*
* v1.8 (10/24/09) - Updated for patch 1.50.x (Surprisingly, they broke it by adding sounds when you click the buttons... Not by adding Banning Draft mode. Stupid.)
* v1.7 & v1.5 - (10/5/09) - Re-worked some of the code. Made the "Advanced Options" always display (no more clicking on the stupid checkbox). PSR Filter Add-on: re-arranged the controls for the PSR Filter.
* v1.6 - (10/1/09) - Believed to have fixed the problem with the game name not saving.
* v1.5 - (9/29/09) - Believed to have fixed a bug that wasn't saving settings properly. Also added incompatibility for prior versions.
* v1.4 - (9/28/09) - Fixed a bug when porting to .honmod format. Also made the PSR version an "addon" to not cause compatibility issues.
* v1.3 - (9/25/09) - Fixed probelm with PSR Filter-included versions not allowing you to configure PSR Filter settings from the Create Game panel when using the mod for the first time.
* v1.2 - (9/24/09) - Implemented PSR Filter and released three separate packages: Standalone, with PSR Filter, and with PSR Filter and picklefish's Quick Stats.
* v1.1 - (9/24/09) - Corrected a problem where the game name would not save if you did not press ENTER before clicking Cancel/Create Game.
* v1.0 - (9/23/09) - Release, duh.
What does it do?:
When you go to create a game, this mod saves your settings even after you exit the game. This means that if you usually use the same or similar game name, same options, same map, same team limits, each and every time you create a game, they will be preserved for the next time you launch the game.
Known issues:
None that I am aware of at the moment.

Bard UI (THE MOST POPULAR)
BardUI
Welcome to the thread for my last mod, while this is only the first version and just a beta merging my two old mods rewritten from scratch (and there could be still bugs around), the long term plan for this is to become eventually a full UI remake, so expect it to grow and become quite different over time.
Download
Installation
Use HoN Modification Manager.
Then, once you've opened HoN, open the options panel (located in the Chat/Stats/Fiends panel, pressing F6, or ingame using the button on the top-right), go in the System page and press the Reset button. Then reboot the game or reload the interface (write ReloadInterfaces in the console)
Unitframes
They can be placed either in the usual spot on the top-left or, ONLY if you have a widescreen, in the bottom part where there's only the stone-wall texture. In either case there's a small panel on the right that if clicked will slide out showing the icons to mute and share. If they're placed in the topleft you can click on the colored rectangles of a frame that show the skills status to expand that frame and show full skill icons with cooldowns (also it will display the amount of gold that each of your allies has).
You can change the position of the frames from the menu.
Unitframes Bottom
Unitframes Top-left
Miss Buttons
Those are 3 buttons (plus 3 custom ones that can be enabled) that will say to the team chat different sentences, two each (one on left-click and one on rightclick).
The sentences for the first three buttons default to some Miss/Returned message for the three lanes, but all 6 buttons can be customized to say whatever you want.
The buttons are usually placed over the minimap but can be moved from the options menu.
Miss Buttons
Improved Buffs (Icons and Bars)
Options Menu
Here you'll be able to enable/disable and edit the settings for all the parts of the BardUI, it can be accessed in two ways: from the CC Panel (F6, it's on the bottom left) or ingame clicking the "Bard UI" button on the topright.
The System page of this menu contains a "Reset" button that will set all the settings to default. It is also used to create all the variables when you install the addon the first time till I will implement something to auto-install them :P

Spell Channeling Bar
Now movable and resizable!
What's this mod?
It displays a bar that indicates the progress of channeling spells. It displays how long your hero has been channeling a spell for, and how much longer until the spell's completion.
While channeling, the bar is yellow. When your hero stops channeling (either through spell completion, or being interrupted), the bar turns purple.
When the bar is not being used (ie. your hero is not channeling anything), it will be hidden so that it does not obstruct the interface.
Also works for items.
Also works for creeps (the vulture man), and allied heroes with shared control.
Screenshots
Configuration
In order to open the configuration menu, simply click the bar.
Or, click the "Configure Channel Bar Mod" button under game-options -> interface.
Then, to move the bar, click and drag.
To resize, drag one of the four handles.
To close the configuration menu, click "close," or click anywhere outside of the bar.
The first time you use the mod, the bar will appear with the message "Channel Bar - Click to Configure." When the first creep wave spawns, this message will disappear and the bar will resume normal functionality, only appearing when channeling spells are used.
Additional configuration options:
-Use fade effects: If enabled, the bar will turn purple and fade out when a spell finishes. If disabled, the bar will abruptly disappear when you stop channeling.
-Show spell name: If enabled, the name of the spell being channeled will be shown on the bar.
-Make unclickable: If enabled, the bar will not be clickable during the game. Note, it can still be configured by using the button in the game options.
All of these settings will save to your configuration file and will preserved after closing HoN.

Easy Hero Ability Descriptions
Current for version 1.5.3
Have you ever felt like reading a Heroes Ability was almost like reading a small novel? This mod is for you. I have reworded every Hero Ability to give you the goods in the simplest way possible.
For example, Legionnaire's Ability, Taunt , normally reads:
"The Legionnaire taunts nearby foes, forcing them to attack him for a few seconds. The Legionnaire prepares himself for the attack, increasing his armor significantly for the duration."
My mod will show it as
"[Buff] Forces all nearby enemies to attack you for a few seconds. Your armor increases for the duration."
The changes can be seen anywhere the HoN client uses them, so in the lobby and in game etc.
I have tried to keep a consistent method of labeling certain abilities as
Buff, Debuff, Stun etc.
I would like to add coloring to these labels so I'm looking for suggestions on which colors for which labels
[Buff]
[Damage] I only added this label in combination with Heal abilities like Inner Light/Volitile Pod
[Debuff]
[Disable]
[Heal] Yellow seems the obvious color imo.
[Protection] (abilities such as protective charm, fire shield, electric shield etc)
[Stun] [Mini Stun]

Remove shopkeepers icon
I feel that the shopkeeper images are a waste of space for me, I wanted to get rid of them for some time but was lazy to look at the s2z to change it, but here it is now.
What does it do
Nothing major, it removes the Shop keepers images from the top of the shop so that you have more space when it's open, screenshots below:
