How DMA Devices Utilize the HMh Motherboard-Level Data Processing Platform
Zero-firmware · No need to bypass VT-d · Operates at a different layer than Windows
I. What is HMA?
HMA is a motherboard-level data processing platform.
It can read arbitrary memory data, bypassing restrictions imposed by the CPU and IOMMU.
Core Definition: HMA is a motherboard-level data processing platform.
Technical Features:
●• Capable of reading arbitrary memory data, free from CPU and IOMMU management restrictions.
●• Utilizes a master-slave architecture: HMA handles the actual data reading, while a second machine issues the commands.
●• Currently supports the X520 and PCILeech DMA board as command-dispatching tools.

II. What You Get
Four key points, in order of importance:
1. Undetectable — Your DMA device cannot be detected by any technical means.
2. No VT-d Bypass Required — You do not need to bypass VT-d on your host PC; you can play games directly.
3. No Firmware Dependency — Your host PC’s DMA setup no longer relies on any firmware to function.
4. Minimal Deployment — Aside from a BIOS update, no additional configuration is required on the host PC.
III. Recommended Configuration
We strongly recommend using MSI motherboards; all our developers conduct testing and optimization on MSI boards, ensuring optimal compatibility. For specific recommendations, please contact us.
IV. Traditional Approaches vs. The HMA Approach
① Protection Mechanisms
Traditional Approaches: These involve disabling IOMMU and VT-d—either by modifying the motherboard or by using platforms that do not support these technologies (such as Hygon). Essentially, this is merely "evading detection"; anti-cheat systems can easily identify such motherboard anomalies and issue account bans.
The HMA Approach: This supports mainstream, high-end motherboards while keeping IOMMU and VT-d fully functional. Rather than bypassing protection mechanisms, HMA operates at a deeper, lower-level layer to process and read data, rendering it undetectable.
② Device Visibility
Traditional Approaches: When a DMA board is inserted, it remains visible within the Windows operating system. Anti-cheat systems can scan for and identify disguised firmware at any time, leading to easy account bans.
The HMA Approach: With HMA, the DMA board does not appear within the Windows operating system. Because the DMA board exists at a different management layer than Windows, anti-cheat systems cannot detect its presence, nor can they block its read operations.
③ Long-term Maintenance
Traditional Approaches: Every time firmware is updated or an anti-cheat system is upgraded, the setup process must be repeated—leaving accounts at constant risk.
The HMA Approach: By fundamentally eliminating the possibility of detection, users need not worry about firmware updates or anti-cheat upgrades—deploy it once, and use it for the long term.
