Honestly, I'm not sure that this kind of "legal ways" used by arenanet are really LEGAL. I mean, no one can judge as "illegal" a software or its development; just a certain use of it could be considered not legal.

Yeah, i think they couldnt detect it. Thats why they need to use other ways to stop buffy, however is possible they try to do the same with the other tools here, not directly, but through forum owner.

They can detect quite a large assortment of things, arenanet is not stupid, they just do there bans in waves, which is why we check every patch now.
They went the legal course because how his was displayed was just easier & takes less time/money, but its also the same manor they did against me originally and why I 3rd party host the files now and not through my website anymore. He just doesn't want to fight a big company, I prefer to hit back against the big man being the little guy.
Me & buffy already discussed this in length on discord and why he prefers to back out, has nothing to do about detection.

Yeah, thats what i'm saying here, buffy's case is not about detection, but i think Anets anti-cheat team is not as OP as it looks, whhy then still exists tools in the wild (and in the dark) with years of activity exploiting almost the same vulnerabilities, like yours and MMOminion ?
Ofc i'm not saying Anet is stupid, but I think that they built a tough wall that they themselves have to blow up before getting their code fixed.
I agree with that completely C8 i think so long as their own integrity is and has been in question for 6 plus years now they are comfortable with the level of sec they currently provide. We are a very small percent of the bigger picture. lets be honest. its not a Massive ammount of the user data base abusing it and runing the economy, that is the sort of thing i would expect them to act upon more, things that threaten their economy not ppl cheating for an achieve or mastery so much.

The issue isn't really with there code, to be honest, alot could be fixed on there end and has been over time with many work-arounds that have had to be done prior to you coming along. It's more so the limitations of the engine that they get hindered by since only so much can be wrapped around it and to be fair the engine is quite dated now compared to others so there is only so much they can do.
Then also the issues about privacy, there is only so much after the GDP went through that they can get from users, an why they backed out quickly on alot of things that were in the original detection they added after it was put on blast and taken apart so quickly, then costs/time/resources - when its easier to just push a update ( like today ) and focus on more active as opposed to malicious users, since they can just ban on the fly to pease the legitimate community.
It makes quite perfect sense why they don't waste time to detect everything on a business perspective, to be fair, since there is alot of different methods to obfuscate or hide the methods ( and why it was just easier to go after buffy in a legal manor the same as they did me ).
