btw. theres a reason people don't just buy gems and convert. Using GW2 currency as comparison is just stupid. It's like how knives in csgo are worth more in cash than trading it over steam market.

I just dont understand why people insist trading using official gw2 currency conversions. During the 24 hour black wing sale i literally bought 160€ of gems and bought predator outright.

so you spend 160€for gems ? lets say you got 13 k gems, that means you changed them to gold , with an exchange rate of 100 gems for 9,75 gold. So you have 130 x 9,75 = 1267,5 Gold. And now you bought the legendary in the TP ? The Predator cost 2698 g atm.
I wonder how you got the predator .....

During the 24 hour black wing sale the conversion ratio went down to around 1700 gems for 250 gold. I got 2k gold and put a buy order for 2.4k.

the gem conversion rate is so volatile it is not reliable.

This is a microeconomy and the supply and demand is easily changed due to external influxes in the game.
