[DISCUSSION] Packet sending

I was thinking... Would it be possible to edit sending and recieving things for GC...
I know they have a woo (Window of Opportunity) of a few seconds.. Hence the lag trick in PvP.
but if you get an automated macro to do everything under a second... like re edit the batch files (or cookies or what ever) to send "manipulated" files.. such as "This person recieved 1mill exp in that run" etc...

This is not hacks it's programing, so im not sure if im in the right place or if anyone is experienced enough, seeing though most of us are in school still.

If your talking about modifying files in-game, you have to get through gameguard, and AFAIK, gameguard devs are more responsive in updating patches to circumvent these things.

If you're talking about packet editing and sending over the network, it's still possible and easier to do.

Well would it really be detected easily ? It's like saying if theres a mistake in a packet you'll get caught ?

its detected if ran with gameguard. otherwise, it will work. still, figuring out which hex value means which item is tricky.

sending a packet

I've captured a packet that I'd like to re-send to do a specific function, but I don't know how to do that. I know it involves 4 encryption keys and a packet id number. My best guess is to send the packet to a proxy that hopefully will forward it to the server properly. Anyone want to offer some tips on what to use?
