1. Check your Internet connection. Since the software is downloaded, it needs a fast connection to install properly. A dial-up or slow connection will create problems. If the connection is fine and the Internet is fast, the problems are not related to the connection.
2. Open "Control Panel" and select "Add/Remove Programs." Look for any previous versions of Microsoft Net Framework already installed on the computer.
3.Remove any old versions of the software. Try installing it again once the older software is removed. It should install, but sometimes a simple removal will miss one or two files or folders.
4. Use a clean-up tool to remove the remaining files and folders. Computers often have a clean-up utility that has tools to clean the recycle bin, temporary files, history and uninstalled items. Otherwise, download a clean-up tool and use it to remove any extra files. Microsoft's website has a Window's Installer Clean-up Utility designed specifically for cleaning up items that are uninstalled. Alternately, try a program like Softpedia's Net Framework Cleanup Tool, which is available for download on its website.
