Proxy Help

Hello, all over the past few days I've been attempting to connect to applications such as Sandboxie and Proxifier using SOCKS5 protocol under the IP:Port format. However, all the providers I have tried so far (3) Smartproxy, Webshare, Oxylabs don't seem to be compatible as they fail on either step 2 or step 3 of the proxy test that Sandboxie and Proxifier use.

Step 1: Connection to the proxy server.
Step 2: Connect through the proxy server.(Targets google or something to see if its connected successfully)
Step 3: Proxy Server Latency (Pings the proxy server)

Now from my experience with all the different providers listed it either fails on step 2 says "Connection through proxy server failed: SOCKS version 5 protocol error." Or it fails on step 3 saying "Failed to get proxy server latency." Now this is with dedicated Ip's, datacenter ip's, static residential all from these providers that didn't work. I am stumped, if anyone knows any proxy provider that can successfully connect to these programs please let me know this is getting out of hand and is starting to cost me more money than i'd like it to.
