• Written in Delphi.
• Written to use the internal Hero client routines to play for you.
• For 14 years, not a single player using it was banned.
• And was fun as a starting point for a few other Hero client-side projects.

If you weren't happy about your pay, why not renegotiate your contract, like an adult? Why should you act like a spoiled child, and throw a tantrum when you don't get your way?

My current work is based on the idea they, and several others, are doing. Porting Jahlers, and Epeceteks, Go source over to Delphi wasn't that complicated, since I've worked with both languages for a while. It just took time at the keyboard, and lots of coffee. Server-side work doesn't take much GUI work, so Go works well there.

Try adding a client-side viewport, generating the packets the server responds to, manipulating 3d meshes to give a player experience . . .
I think you can get an idea why I don't have time to work on their server project.

Sounds like you introduced a MAJOR bug into the code, which you knew was wrong. "Undocumented features" like that are still bugs, which you were getting paid to fix, not create. Fixing it was your responsibility to catch it before the testers did. It's called checking your code before committing.

Can't blame them for being upset with you. Imagine the burly Axe carrying dude, strolling around in a dress? How about him in Daisy Duke shorts and a halter top? Or the Swordsman?
