Cheat Engine

I tried to manipulete, hull, shields, crit, and many other variables, i found the codes easy, but they dont modify ingame, example shields, i switched shields and found the code. Then i modifed it to 9999, didnt work. Anyone know some cheat engine hacks for STO ? or something that might work.
