Using OllyDBG or CE to Find GM Mode or Walk thru walls, or VAC Hack? How is this done

Okay, Like in Dekaron, people found GM mode address.

The question is, how do you search for it?

Or lets say you use OllyDBG to find walk thru walls, how do you do it?

Can someone help me a little and explain to me how people FIND these things out?

Or vac hack as I mentioned.

Are there any tutorials or guides or GENERAL methods on how these things are done?

I don't play 2Moons/Dekaron (anymore), but I can guess how people do it. First you need to know the most important assembler commands (google for some assembler tutorials). The command "mov" for example copies/"moves" the 2. value into the 1. one.

mov edx, eax

This line moves the value of eax into edx. Let's say eax is the "dwSight" value of the loaded monster.

mov edx, 00000010

If we change the line to that, the value loaded into edx is always 0x10.
As I said before this is just a guess about how it is done.

for the GM hack there's is an easier method
unpack the dekaron exe (PEID and google for an unpacker)
then open the unpacked exe with winhex
search for [GM]
and replace ..[GM].. for example with ..Lawl..
(should be the first 4 chars of your characters name)
