Son made a mistake, is gutted crying
Hello, my son who is still quite young, won't mention his age, made a massive mistake. Over the years I have been upgrading my PC more regular than usual to enable his hand me down parts to become a powerful and very expensive rig. And last year he had a brand new motherboard and CPU
He stays with his mum 50% of the time and recently had a new expensive rig there aswell.
Unfortunately I think he became a bit curious about hacks and cheats as his friend claimed to do it successfully, despite me always warning him not to ever try anything he was unsure of and always asking me before he installs anything etc.
And so he let said friend show him how he did it. And his "friend" assured him that throw away accounts would be fine and my son thought as it was on creative anyway it shouldn't really be an issue.
Unfortunately my son didn't know that IP bans or HWID bans were a thing. And after his friends 1st attempt led to a 24 hour warning he switched to another throwaway account and now the result is my son can no longer play Fortnite on his nice shiney expensive PC.
I'm absolutely furious that my son was so silly to forget my warnings but even more furious that said friend just goes back home and continues to play on his PC while all my hard work in getting him to this level seems to have been undone. Ive been collecting games for him for almost 10 years and he has around 500 games on epic and 100s on other launchers aswell.
My son obviously discovered he couldnt play after he'd logged back into Fortnite after uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
I tried to message epic to explain that it wasnt actually my son who'd executed any cheats etc but they were obviously not interested and they claimed his account is now permanently banned.
However I did not find any of this information out until after my son had stayed at him mums and successfully logged in and played for a an evening there. It was on his return the next day where he came to me in tears.
I have many questions but my main ones are....
Now he has logged in here on the banned PC and epic claim his account is banned, will the apparent Hardware ban also take effect on the new PC at his mums house?
If his account is actually banned would he be able to log in at all anywhere, as he has also managed to play a game on his account on an android phone.?
If he logs in to my PC, would that be subject to a ban etc? In other words, will hardware bans follow his account? And then would my account receive a ban?
Is he likely to get bans on other games now?
We really dont want to lose his account with all his games on but I don't want any tainted PCs in the house, I dont want to be buying games for him in the future only for him to be banned on them.
His PC has 7tb of storage. I keep reading that a new motherboard and storage is needed to get around this apparent ban. So have I got to basically scrap the nvmes and ssds as I dont want them in any of our other PCs in the house if they are likely to trigger bans and I couldnt bring it upon myself to sell them on and cause someone else a problem later on down the line.
If I get him a new motherboard and nvme can he log back into his account? Or is this going to trigger something?
If he signs in to the PS5 or a switch, will this be hardware banned?
I'm not interested in spoofers thankyou, I just want his PC to be back to how it was before he let that toerag friend near it. And Ideally his account and all his games be safe to okay on now and in the future.
Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

Hardware-ID banns from Fortnite do require a new Motherboard and a new M2 / SSD, what ever it is. However, the account is gone, no chance getting it back.

Hey so only the PC he cheated on is hwid banned but the account is permanently banned which ever was used for cheating. Other PC's are fine and he can use a new account to play on it but for the hwid banned pc you would need to change parts and you are good to go. Your console and everything else is fine. Hope this helps and don't let him make this silly mistake again lol.

Thank you. So basically his friend made a fake account to try the cheat on. Will it be just that account that has the ban?
My son has always only used his account on that pc prior to this. He has managed to play a few games at his mum's and on android but is worried that if his account is actually banned if any other PC he tries that will get banned.
So it should just be the fake accounts that the cheats were used on that are actually banned, along with a HWID ban on the PC?
I've also just read that they may use routers and isps for bans? Is this true?
I literally had a new isp and fttp new router and a 24 month contract like 2 weeks ago.
Tbh I can't describe how angry I am with this. It cost me an absolute fortune and many hours of blood and sweat.

Im assuming that you've already logged into the main account on that computer and if that is the case that account is gone. once they hwid ban any account ever on that pc is toast.

For the ip ban you can just unplug your router for 15 min and plug it back in. odds are you have a dynamic IP. Also the IP ban is temporary so u could just wait.
As for the hwid ban you can spoof pretty easily. Theres tons of overpriced spoofers on this site and if I post something free the post will get taken down because it will hurt sales but if you do some digging its easy to do for free. Alternatively u could just buy a new motherboard and ssds and reinstall windows and just sell the old parts on ebay. your choice. this isn't a big deal, no reason to be stressed.
if u need help add my disc: itsanoriot

Yes he logged in to his account afterwards and now he gets kicked from the game. He's also logged into that account at his mums and played. But this was before I had confirmation from Epic that he was banned.
Will this affect the PC at his mums in anyway?
If i was to build a PC but reuse the gpu and ram would the new PC get banned?
Does he now require new accounts for everything? Microsoft epic steam etc as I think they are all linked.

I am so stressed it's making me ill.
Money is a really big issue at the moment, I have a young family and elderly parents I look after.
Im worried if I commit to a new motherboard and drives, will it detect anything like the cpu, gpu, ram and monitors and ban the new parts?
Do I have to completely write off his epic account? Theres thousands of pounds worth of games on there? If so do I also have to write off his steam, battlenet and windows accounts and start a fresh?
If I reuse the any of the old drives in other PCs will they get banned?

It's seriously not a big deal. As a cheat dev I get banned weekly, don't sweat it. You can still use the epic account for other games and your steam and battle.net accounts are completely unaffected. The monitors, GPU, etc. should be fine to use still. If u decide to order new parts make sure that wherever you're ordering from has a good return policy so if you **** up you can just return the parts and try again.
like I said, if u need help add my discord. You're limited with what you can say on here

I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL YOU ANYTHING, JUST PROVIDING ADVICE.
Fortnite strictly bans computers & in rare scenarios routers, (not consoles), meaning that if your son makes a completely new account that he plays only at his moms (unbanned) than he will be fine. If he plays on another computer in your house on a new account, he will be fine, it shouldn't carry over at all. And no, you cannot take any parts from the pc and transfer them to another. Other games, even ones that use the same Anticheat (EAC, BE), or games that are operated by the same company (Epic Games), will not ban you, only Fortnite.
As for the account and all of the money spent on the account, no, that's a complete loss.
Your best bet is to figure out what manufacturer your motherboard is, if its a desktop (not laptop), and has ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, or any other popular AMI motherboard than you can pay 30-40 dollars for what's called a "spoofer". This WILL VOID YOUR WARRENTY, but, it's a small price to pay if you want your son to be able to play on his computer.
What a spoofer does is that it changes the hardware ID serials of the GPU, CPU, SSD, and Motherboard. I recommend exploring this forum for one that is vouched and works well, usually most of these spoofing services operate on Discord. One that I can personally recommend is , or , or something similar. Most spoofers have tedious steps and may require entering the BIOS of the computer, usually support can help you when purchasing one (spoofer), but it's not guaranteed that your computer is spoofable due to some motherboards having locked serials, most don't but it's something to consider, to bypass this most spoofers will ask you to use a USB drive that spoofs your serials before Windows can boot.
Another similar solution is a temporary spoofer, these are a bit more pricey, usually costing like 50$ for a one month subscription but all your son will have to do is open the program, spoof, and then open the game without any issues. The difference is that this has to be done every single boot and they are more expensive, I would recommend .
You can either do this or simply buy a new computer completely, but considering what you mentioned about your financial situation this doesn't seem to be possible. I know it may seem evil but if you have to, and really need to, you should consider selling the computer and buying a new one completely, if it makes you feel better consider asking the person buying the computer if they plan on playing Fortnite, otherwise, good luck.

Hello bud, like everyone else has said the account itself is a complete lost however, i do offer a service that would unban that entire computer as long as it's compatible.
However, I would rather you, instead of your son following the guide due to some of the stuff you have to do, instead of going out purchasing brand new components etc. Feel free to join my discord in my signature and I'll happily give you more information about this.
