Epic never said that it's "Limited edition" or something like that.It is only a pickaxe that appeared in item shop 2 or 3 times.
That halloween pickaxe was in itemshot last summer for 1 day and nobody said anything. It was a bug or something because it was there for only 5 hours.
I personally don't like it that much. It isn't that good looking and its sound is very annoying when you play with it for too long. It's similar with Frostwing(the dragon glider) , it looks cool but you hate it bcs it's SO LOUD...well..not anymore because epic reduced it's audio but still.

Limited Edition will most likely just mean its a holiday item and only releases during halloween season.
