Open a tab. You're in Madrigal.
No installer. No launcher. No 10 GB download. No Wine, no VM, no patcher.
You open a link and you are in the world — character select, flying, combat, NPCs, the full HUD.
What makes it different
- Nothing to install. The client runs in the browser. Windows, Linux, Mac, whatever you have — if it runs a modern browser, it runs the game.
- It starts in seconds. The world streams as you play. You don't wait for a full client download before your first login; the game pulls what it needs, when it needs it, and keeps it.
- It is the real client. Not a remake, not a web reskin, not a slimmed-down version. The same client, running the same code — the windows, the movement, the combat, the models are the originals.
- Runs on real server hardware. The full v15 server stack — all seven servers — running natively on Linux. No emulation layer between the game and the machine.
What's actually in there
The classic Madrigal you know: full world and dungeons, all jobs and job changes, flying, guilds, parties, pets, quests, PK and arena.
On top of that, the v15 custom feature set —
and to be clear, these systems are not my work. They come from the custom source this server is built on, and the credit belongs to the people who wrote them. What I did was get them running in a browser.
Straight out of the in-game Start menu:
- Progression — Battle Pass, Season Pass, Record Book, Monster Album, Auto Power-Ups
- PvP & events — PvP & PvE Activities (TDM), DPS meter
- Trading & economy — FlyFF Cash Shop, Shop Search, Offline Vendor menu, Farm Display
- Quality of life — Teleporter, Switch Equipment, Pet Filter, Party Finder, Guild Finder, Element Changer, Package preview
- In-game wiki — Items, Upgrades, Awakenings, Honors, all searchable, in the client
Not in the Start menu but in the same build: a 168-slot resizable inventory, box preview and bulk opening, party sorting, a public model viewer, solo dungeons, dungeon treasure, daily rewards, wheel of fortune, FFA, a penya converter, and a static F1–F9 taskbar (currently shipped to 1-9).
Classic applets are all there too — status, character, inventory, skills, quests, motions, map, navigator, housing, chat, messenger, couple, party, guild, help and notices.
How this list was checked
I did not write that list from memory. Every custom feature above was verified present in the exact client build the link serves, by searching the shipped binary for the menu entry itself.
Four entries that exist in the source are
not in that build, so they are deliberately absent from the list: Chest, Recycle, Exchanges and Wardrobe.
Straight talk
I would rather you hear this from me than find it out:
- This is not open. It runs, it is played, and it is not finished.
- I have not decided what this becomes. Released, sold, kept private — that is genuinely undecided, and I am not going to pretend otherwise to farm replies. This thread is a showcase, not an announcement.
- The browser client is not yet at parity with the desktop client. Most of it works; some of it does not, and the gap closes weekly. The feature list above is what the client ships, not a per-feature guarantee that each one is polished in-browser today.
Questions welcome. Private DM`s welcome aswell.
