Hi, can someone recommend an affordable/cheapest dedicated server to handle maybe 200-250 player daily peak.


PS. Also, I wanna ask what should be the spec enough to handle 200-250 player daily peak?

Hello, Buang98 !
I can speak from my experience, that you Need for a Server with Daily 200-250 People Online over 16GB RAM.
The Server Takes between 2GB - 3.4GB RAM (My old one)
Now you Need to Take a Look at IIS,Windows,SQL and maybe Ch.2
My Old Files got with a Peak from over 100 People, IIS and all other Things between 4,8 and 5,4 GB RAM...
During a DDoS Attack, it reach a RAM-PEAK from over 6GB (DDoS Protection 500GB+)
I think it was better, to Test your Server on your local Network to Look at His RAM-PEAK , to See the RAM, you really need... But for a Gameplay so many Players, without lags i hope you Chose a Server with over 32gb RAM if you want to Work in the Server (Source) and Compile it there^^

16 - 32 GB RAM is needed (i think..)

You don't need 16GB of ram, nor does ram have anything to do with ddos attacks lol.

8 - 10gb of ram at most for that player count.

At my old Server, the RAM goes Up if the Server got DDoS'ed !
I don't know why, but ITS TRUE !

If you RUN all Programms, 8 - 10 GAB+...
But what if you Need to Compile on the Server or you Need to Download something for example you want to Change a Map.. 10/10 GB RAM issda, ~LAGG

wenn du es etwas billiger möchtest gehst du einfach zum Partner von ovh.

Hi, what about the size of HDD/SSD? for that 200-250 players is 120GB or 240GB SSD enough as the main drive for the server and database? or is it possible too move the SQL Database to a external drive? or install it to a external drive? then link from there? ^ ^ thanks!
