Wings as Cloak, not RIDE?

I want to change wings such as "Elegant Black Wings" to a cloak item so it will still be animated when its on the player but player cannot fly with it, it will only be as a cloak.

I have tried editing the parameters in spec_item to change the type RIDE to the CLOAK etc but then it bugs ingame and has the wings on his feet...

Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

First of all you will probably have to make the character float like psykeepers do.

Because the floating animation is less movement of the back.

Check where the source uses IK3_WING or whichever parameter is used for Wings, should be self explaining from that point.

It doesn't matter how much movement is done, you only need to attach it to the "Spine"-Bone like other wings are.

Couldn't you just change the wing file name to the cape file name? And use it that way?
