Buffer overflow and Runtime (WS)
Hello,
For about two weeks, I have a big problem, i have a buffer overflow (every 2/3 minuts) :
Quote:
The RAM goes up to 11/12 go and then gradually decreases to the normally ram used by worldserver (4/5 go).
And every 3/4 hours, i have a runtime error (worldserver side), only when i have 150/200 player, in the night with 50 player i don't have this problem :
Quote:
I have no special error, only some query error :
Quote:
|
Error Full IdPlayer = 2383, PlayerName = XXX, ItemName : XXXX <= Useless
|
Quote:
|
2013/ 1/28 22:39:13 Invalid Equipment Removed : XXXX <= Useless
|
Quote:

Full of that (200ko/days):
Quote:

... Und ihr beide antwortet auf einen englischen Thread in Deutsch
Try checking the MSSQL-Server-Logs for further Data. They should be located in a path similiar to this one "Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\Log"
If you wanna make sure you got the right ones, check if the directory "...\MSSQL\Data\" contains files named ACCOUNT_DBF etc.
P.S: You can open the relevent files with Notepad++ or Editor. The newest one is allways named "ERRORLOG.1" (even if no errors occured ^^)

These aren't exactly difficult problems... If you have 150+ players on s1, you should either have programming skills to fix it, or money to pay someone to fix it for you...

There's nothing wrong with a good administrator that hires developer(s) to work on the source. It's usually better to do this as it distributes the work load, giving the administrator more time to promote the server, manage staff, and check security.
It's always good for an administrator to have programming knowledge and experience, but it's not necessary if you have an experienced and trustworthy developer to work on the source code.
- slightly offtopic -
I don't like Hells because of the following reasons:
1. He's extremely immature, he even posts immature statements on his own server.
2. He doesn't contribute anything to his server. He's a very bad administrator and doesn't develop anything. If he was a good administrator, I wouldn't have any problem with him not developing anything.
3. He only runs a server to make money to buy things for himself(cars, hookers, etc). He would gladly **** off the players at InsanityFlyff if it meant he would make more money to spend on himself.
4. He scams the developers that work for him often. I've known three different developers that have told me that Hells scammed them by not paying for the work they gave him(when he promised he would).

My server is not here for money, all of money is reinvested ONLY in the server.
I think it's better for an administrator to do all thing (dev, web, and other thing he can do) on this server rather than buy service etc..
