That means it can connect to the server but the file doesn't match the expected hash so it threw it out. Possibly:

1. Something is blocking access to the file, like an antivirus or maybe some kind of file monitor.

2. Uminchu doesn't have permissions to write to the directory. This might happen in system folders if you are not on an admin account or not running as admin, or other UAC conflict. If it can write uminchu.ini then this is probably not it.

3. For some reason it can reach the server but the .exe download is being blocked like through a firewall, or timing out due to a very poor connection.

4. I messed up something with the downloading, file management, and/or hashing functions. :(

Try this direct link for now. If this link fails then it's #3. If you run as admin or move the old exe to a common directory like the desktop and it updates properly then it's #2. If you figure out any more info please let me know so I can try to work around it and be aware of common issues.

Thanks for the kind words and glad it's working.

The current version shows , so it's either some heuristics based blocking or it's a short, temporary block to give the scanner time to complete. I'll increase the delay on the update script to give scanners more time and hopefully avoid this kind of problem.

I think it's the combo website/url + file that trigger the heuristic antivirus block. It's kinda the way a lot of virus work nowadays. When I disabled it and later scanned the file it didn't find anything.

Thanks for the info. I won't try to work around that then. Not much other way to do online updates than by downloading and creating a file. :D

Thanks for the reports. Please let me know which scanners are doing this. I'll see if I can work around this a little by checking for updates without downloading, only giving a link to the user.

Not sure how I should deal with this. Remove updates? Tell people to ignore it?

I am using "ESET NOD32 Antivirus"
If you temporarily stop scanning, the update will succeed
Although there is no problem in this way, a method that is not detected is better

That approach sounds reasonable. The auto-updating works for me because I use Windows Defender, but for others it's not too much of a hassle to manually update the EXE.

I've appealed to Eset to see if they will help with the false positives. I'm not sure how their system works though, so it might not work for updated exes. I'll add a msgbox with a link to the updated file if an update fails, at least.

Hey hakoko, right now there is dumb support for it in a way. If you replace your chum or patience key with fish eyes, it will use fish eyes when it has enough GP or when it has max GP respectively. Only the chum option is ideal after you run out of GP. In the future I hope to monitor buffs to be able to intelligently use this ability.

Please leave chum and patience on the character specific keyboard style hotbars in either case.

why i can't not update to the newest version? The programm Starts new when i click ok and then comes the update window again.
