idk how to change the weapon and magic skill up rate but you can change the exp rate in the pxi.ini file

when you open ther pxi.ini it should look like this :
[MYSQL]

you change the exprate number to what ever you want til you get the results you want.

\Project XI Server 0.6.4\bin\server\scripts\globals\settings.lua
WEAPON_SKILL_POINTS = 1.000; --Multiplies points earned during weapon unlocking.
^ I was under the impression this controlled the weapon skill exp?
A lot of other interesting settings in there as well.

how weird :T when i open .lua files in notepad it screws up my files and **** rams my server.. but anywhoo i was wondering because u can set ur lvl to 75 but all the weapon skills and magic skills are like 0 so u do like max is 50 damage :T

you have to skill up like you normaly would in the game by fighting mobs, i just grabbed a multi hit weapon and macro'd @hp 99999 to keep my HP up while i swung away at it skilling up its a fast process usualy get a skill up or 2 each swing.

Have you guys had any success using the @spawn command?
I'm a little confused as to how it works.
For example, when I zone in to the dynamis areas, there are no mobs... can I use this command to spawn them?

the @spawn command wont work if the mob is already up, and some NMs dont work either like VNM's and a lot of NMs in the past, but to use the command in like lets say dynamis xarcabard and you want to pop the Dynamis lord you type this: "@spawn DynamisLord" no space between the name .

Here is an alternative link to projectXI that I saved before the site went down. It has nearly all of the meteorXI files, the last known svn available, and also the server guide setup page on the projectXI wiki.
Keep the project alive!  I really hope someone tries to pick up where the pxi team left off.. It's my all-time favourite game.

Hello,
I encountered an error after creating the character, it went to a black screen and it says "downloading data" and after it gave me error Error Code FFXI-3001
I read the tutorial, I read from page 1. But I could not figure out how to solve it.
If somebody would give me an answer, I would really appreciate it, I apologize for my noob question.

It happens to me as well, but if you close the game and reopen it then go to your character selection screen the character should be made.
Select it and you should be able to log on. I think it may be an issue with meteorXI if I recall correctly.

Tag Also demnächst starten wir unseren Free Final Fantasy XI Server wir werden natürlich Client etc zum Download bereitstellen wens soweit ist Hp etc werden wir ebenfalls bereitstellen. Wir sind noch ein wenig am Basteln sieht aber schon gut aus.
Server bei seite wir würden gerne wissen wie das Interesse an dem Mmorpg steht wer würde das spiel gerne Spielen es wäre sicher schlecht einen Leeren server zu starten. Raten werden dementsprechend auch recht hoch sein und wir werden alles so gut...
