hey everyone I just got done with all the steps and i went to get on and playonline asks me for a squareenix password and i just enter my normal password and it wont let me through, what is the problem here im not sure

nevermind i figured it out i think thank you guys

Those of you planning to join this server. Here are the pros/cons of this server, so you can decide for yourself...

Pros -
1. The server has a pretty good drop rate / xp rate. You can get from 1-75 in a few days if you're grinding hardcore + using the double xp days.

2. This server seems to be better (in terms of playability) than alot of smaller servers (excluding Azure Sky). Meaning that mobs actually chase you, spells are working, etc.

3. A lot of helpful people there. Most of the players seem nice.

Cons -
1. The server crashes a lot! Sometimes for hours on end. Some days it'd down for half the day.

2. No GMs nor anyone that can really do anything when something goes wrong most of the time. The GMs that were there have up and left, and the only remaining GM is the owner of the server who's hardly ever on.

3. The person that runs the server has NO clue on how to run it. Its like he uses it as his own playground. On the rare occasion he does log in, he'll just warp players to him & kills them, or he'll warp to them and spawn NMs on top players as they're XPing.

4. He never listens to players to add items, or does he do anything to improve the server playability.

Like several posts above me have said, he wants players to treat him like a *** & kiss his *** so he can give them stuff. It doesn't seem like he has any clue on how to run a proper server.

The way I see it, if this server keeps on going down this path, it won't survive another month. If he wants to continue to run a server, and use his player base as guinea pigs for his experiments, he's not going to have much people wanting to play. Either shape up, or let someone else who's capable run the server. This server has a good base, it's seems like the management needs to grow up.

Free is free, you get what you pay for... Nothing. If you want a stable server, updates and support, pay for retail.

That sounds exactly like what the server owner says. With that kind of mentality, you can see what kind of person runs this server.

Can't say it's not true...free is free, but if you're out looking for people to join your server and play, they should at least know what they're getting into.

My nephew played on private WoW servers, and its pretty much the same there. Getting banned or killed randomly by GM isn't uncommon and support is mediocre at best.

Personally I'd settle for a server with 20ish ppl who all play during the same hours and enjoy doing stuff together. I have no desire to play with a huge population, and playing solo is no fun at all.

That's the problem with this server. There aren't even 5 people on much less 20. The ones I've talked to have all left because of the way the server owner runs this server. I can understand the GM killing off the players for fun once in a while. I'm sure the GM needs his excitement too, but when he only logs on to kill players, and then leave without so much as doing anything else...theres a problem. Everyone knows that these private servers have problems, but when the only person that can help you with a glitch or a bug ONLY logs on to kill you, that's not exactly helping.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me if all he does is log on, and do stupid **** all day long, but at least recruit some new people to help out those that need help when he's not on. Seems to me that most players share my sentiments judging by the way his player base is shrinking down to single digits. At the rate this is going, it looks like solo would be the only option.

Azure sky is still running with a good number of ppl and the owner does put in the effort to keep it running / improving.

The other option is to wait for a stable, mature version of DarkStar and have someone make a private server or make your own for you and your friends.
