Dark Star FFXI Server

Greetings!

I would like to take a moment and let everyone know that the English Dark Star forums are currently open and running. While the game server itself is still in a very early alpha stage of development we are able to bring this information to you.

This is NOT a PXI server. This is a new server designed on the eAthena/Ragnorok MMO source code.

Would be nice if after i put passwords in it would let me log in to the new website i even clicked on forgot password copy and pasted it and it still wont let me log on.

I may sound very stupid but I found nothing on your site that is informing me of what is going on, and questions I have I still cannot find answers to

Do you have 24/7 server up?
Is there 2 servers?
Where is server info?
How would someone totally clueless be able to login and get playing on your server

Totally confused right now, I know how to set it up on my own PC but no idea at all how to connect to yours and cannot find any information on it.

To answer your questions: There is a public test server up 24/7; There is not two servers - we are no longer working on the ProjectXI server; The information on how to connect is at that link; and at this point you will not be able to "play". You can log in and run around areas, chat with other players via /say and /tell, craft, and you will find merchants and shops are working. I am sure I left out many other game mechanics that have been implemented as well, but you will not be able to attack monsters, gain experience points, complete Missions among many other things.

Thats weird I've seen people attack mobs in youtube videos.

I keep getting 10038 even though I am up to date.

That is because people are on either an old PXI server or using the DLX-PXI server. We are building a new server from the ground up and not using any of the PXI code. Faster, more stable and it can hold a lot more people.

Please post further problems/questions and the like in the forums. The information ther eis building up more and more every day. Just have to browse through it.

i think i may just be prone to errors i usually use pxi tried using dlx and got (The procedure entry point_invalid_parameter_noinfo_noreturn could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR100.dll.) i was missing Msvcr100.dll and downloaded it soooooooo.
P.S. Can i has cheeseburger?

Unfortunately this thread has nothing to do with DLX-PXI.. You should never ever go to any dll download site and download anything. Most of the time they are spam, spyware, adware, viruses. The first

says to install visual c 2008 & 2010 redistributables. Which is what you need to run it.

um yeah...so do you guys have a client to log in with or what? I've been all over your forum and can't find any files anywhere...how am I supposed to connect to 'test' the server?
I see that you have added a lot of npc's willing to talk and all that...but HOW do I connect in the first place?

Are you sure you have been all over our forum? Odd.. that is ok though. It is easy to miss the Sticky thread called "Connecting to the Server & Windower" in the stress test section of the forums.
