Cheating on PC - incentive reason(s)?

Hi guys,

please don't feel offended or attacked, i just have some questions about the motivation of cheating in FIFA on the PC. it's fine if you don't want to answer these questions, i live by the motto "don't hate the players, hate the game", as only EA is to blame for this situation.

1. are the ingame generated coins being sold for (additional) salary? is this common for the majority of the cheaters (approx. how much %) ?
2. are the cheats just used for personal use to generate more coins (= getting better players) ?

The problem is EA are putting all their resources into banning the entire FIFA community, rather than fixing the game to stop cheating in the first place.

I'm yet to find a single opponent using the 99 OVR cheat. Pretty sure you "felt" they were using the cheat and decided to cheat yourself.

I use it because of the scripting ... I broke almost 3 controller just because of momentum change and scripting

i'm using it because i got tired of getting disconnected every other match in WL and seasons. Now I just leave it in the background and when those players come up (bronze teams 99% of the cases) I instawin the match.

@: interesting, there must be a big difference between the different areas and the amount of cheaters. so far in every weekend league, i only matched up twice with a 99 overall. even though i lost both games in extra time, i see it as some kind of motivation to beat them
@: i don't want to start a scripting discussion, but we shouldn't underestimate the random-factor of this game. in the longrun, the better players win more games, but it's not really a competitive gamemode, it's even worse this year compared to the previous years.


it's interesting that everyone with a reply so far uses it for personal reasons. how big is the coin-selling market on the PC? i always expected most of the trainers would do it for a financial benefit.

even more with the 99 overall concept: for me, this game mode is about upgrading your players and teams. where is the fun when you can literally make everyone a 99? i assume you are also able to adjust the weakfoot/skillmoves?

Last year i earned around 6k$ from selling coins thanks to EA being blind for PC
