Today I was messing around with the program, and I noticed something interesting: when I changed my female character to a male, the game wouldn't allow me to equip my 'lilac corsage'. I then changed my character back to female, and it allowed me to do this. After I changed back to male with corsage equipped, the corsage was still equipped!
This lead to a great discovery: all rage/gender restrictions and CLIENT-SIDE.
This means that, for example, you can as an Elvaan, change yourself to a Tarutaru and equip Tarutaru RSE! Then when you change back, the equipment may not appear on your character, but the stats do.
Now, you might ask, what benefits does this hold?
PLENTY.
Say, you're an Elvaan PLD, and the hume RSE belt has stats that are MUCH better than the elvaan one- you can now use it!
Now, as for directions to using the program itself: simply go ingame using windower, load up the namechanger plugin, then start the program. The program automatically detects YOUR race/gender, so all you have to do is pick the race/gender you want, then go ingame, change any visible piece of equipment (head, weapon, body, legs, feet, etc), and your character model will change to that race.
Though I take full credit for this guide, I take NO credit for the creation of this program. I don't remember the name of the author, but I found it on ffxi.archbell.com
