You have to update the Offsets to the current.. seems the game changes it after each update so find someone who can keep them updated and you got a bot for all time ^.^
Also there's a .dat file you have to add the NM and it's ID#
How you find it out is go into the area where the NM spawns.. use the NPC.EXE and it shows the NM on it.. copy and paste it into the .dat file and save and close it.. and then you can click on it in the program..
Really easy to use.. enjoy..
Hidden Power uses it all the time.. ^.^
No support from me.. I'm sure you can find someone that can get you the offsets to update it since last update..
Okay for those of you unsure how to work it...here's how it works:
1) After starting FFXI in windowed mode, copy the name of the window into the .ini file where it says window
2) Move to the location of your Notorious Monster of choice and run NPC.exe
3) Hit the 1st ??? button. This will list all the monsters in that area and whether they are there or not (100% = they are there and alive, 1-99% = they have that much health left, 0% = have not popped yet)
4) Copy the characters near the character's name (not the %)
5) Open Data.dat and type in the name of the NM and then the value:
Example: Fafnir is 0022 in Dragon's Aery. In Data.dat, type Fafnir,0022
6) Run Mr.Argus.exe
7) Select the mob from the pulldown menu
8) Click the first ??? to start sniffing packets, the second stops it. The third button...dunno what it does. The 4th button deletes the currently selected NM
9) When the packet comes in, it will spam the macro in Alt+0
Square-Enix has stated they do not care if you use a Packet Sniffer...so much as you don't pass it out to everyone. Long as you don't talk bout it...it's fine.
Tested it on Fafnir, it spammed "Fafnir" in my /echo command (cause that's what I set to Alt+0), but couldn't change the fact I couldn't see or /target him.
If you really want to make it successful, you'd hafta:
1) remove fly and carbuncle/wyvern data temporarily (darters are fly type monsters and SMN/DRG avatars/wyverns get caught for /targetnpc)
2) Figure out how to remove other people's models (no advice here I'm afraid =\
3) Quickly disable MrArgus after it spams its message and run a macro that says:
/wait 1/2/3 (depending how fast you close Argus)
/targetnpc
/ja "Provoke" <t>
This will auto target any NPC (you've disabled flies, carbuncle, and wyvern...so only the dragons are left), wait 3 seconds (to bypass the 'unprovoke phase' of July 1st patch), then provoke it.
in Data.dat ... There is Argus and Leaping Lizzy and some number's ... when i want to type anything or delete those its not working .. dunno why .. anyone know how to delete this 2 names or how to type on in? ... Thanks
