I haven't tried it yet, but if i would be able use them using a browser, and then i would sync the game using the mobile app, would the boosters and power ups stay?

Tried it, it doesn't work.
But in mobile app you can get more than 5 lives if your friends give to you.
Currently I have 8 in mobile, but in FB only 5 is possible.

For me it's working i just test it right now i made a couple lvl's too im at 407 lvl :P if for you doesn't work try to instal update from the link i set up there after you install the exetend , restart mozzila firefox and play for me work's perfect !
