Playing for free

I was thinking of making 5 accounts 4 of them for mining and the other for hauling.
I was wondering if i would be able to eventually mine enough so that i can afford enough for the plexs to keep the accounts going and if i can how long it would take.

Extra: My main is in amarr space and i was going to create the alts there so would it be most cost effective to mine a specific type of ore or just mine everything.

Edit: as long as i can make 7.5 mil an hour foe each miner then it should be easy to pay for all 5 accounts

i would recommend to mine everything if you use 4 account because i think you mine in highsec.

could take a while if you can keep them all up for yourself

Greetings!

Mining ist about efficiency! If you join a miningfleet with buffs and have your part maxed out (skills and shipsetup) it would not be enaugh. If you learn how to trade that will make it work. If you just pick up your ore anyway you got enaugh time to check the market!

Trading with your mining could do it, how long it would take untill then I dont know.

I would recommend, to use the hauler account also for an Orca buff. It's very effective and you will need it.

Also it takes some time until you can play the game for free (mackinaw with all accounts and a lot of playtime, orca bonus etc.). All this takes some days, but you can do it!

It takes months. You also need a good system, prefer a wormhole or a corp with a low 0.0 system

I looked at the mackinaw's bonuses and it looks like it only really for ice mining rather than normal ore but i will look into it to see if ice mining will be better.

Nah.. not really. Look at the Retriever, than look at the Mackinaw. It's just Tier 2 of the Retriever.

Skiff is the optimal Mining ship for ice mining.

It was the optimal Ship. Since Retribution the Mining-Ships have new Roles.

Now it is:
Procurer/Skiff = Maximal Defense (good for Low/Null/WH)
Retriever/Mack = Maximal Cargo (good for Solomine)
Covetor/Hulk = Maximal Yield (good for Fleetmine | with Orca/Hauler)

Skiff now has a Bonus for Mercoxit Mining
Mackinaw has the Ice Mining Bonus
Hulk has general Yield Bonus

And yes, it is absolut no Problem to mine for Plex.
I'm playing with 2 Accounts. Main flying Hulk, second flying Mackinaw.
Hulk mines in Can and Mackinaw transport it if it's full. It is no problem to make around 30-35 Million ISK / Hour (with perfect mining/refining skills).
With Orca boost would be more, yea.
