HyperToad Eve beta: mining, ratting, missions, hauling, trading
Hi all,
We've been building an EVE bot for a while and it's at the point where we need more people using it than just us. If you want to help test it, read on.
Bots
Miner
Mines belts in the systems you pick, travels through gates, docks and unloads when full and goes back out. Uses mining lasers and mining drones. Warps off to a safe spot or station when something hostile shows up, and repairs and restocks before heading back. Can also kill belt rats with combat drones while mining.
Ratting
Goes belt to belt killing rats with your fit. Can loot and salvage. Can also run combat anomalies, including probing them down. Leaves when Local, the grid or your tank says so, and keeps shooting if it's scrammed. The dashboard shows bounties, ISK per hour and what's on grid.
Missions
Courier, security and mining missions. It reads each mission from the game's own data, so new or changed missions don't need an update from us. It only takes missions you've put on your list.
Hauler
Courier contracts: ones assigned to you, ones you've already accepted, and public ones. Checks the route before each undock, warp and jump, and docks up if it doesn't like what it sees.
Market trader
Station trading. Buys under the spread, sells above it and keeps your orders on top. You set how much ISK it can use and how much per item. Every order it places is logged.
Other stuff- Run several clients from one app
- Start your accounts without the EVE launcher
- Closes for downtime and starts back up afterwards, bots included
- Status page you can open on your phone on your LAN
- Turn off 3D rendering per client to save GPU
- Dry run mode on every bot: it shows what it would do without doing it
- Updates itself
What we're looking for
People who'll actually run it for a few hours and tell us how it went. Any bot, alpha or omega, highsec for now. Multiboxers and people running on VMs are especially useful to us.
Mining, missions and belt ratting have had supervised live runs on our end. Hauling and live trading are newer and have had less time on a real client, so expect rough edges there.
If something goes wrong, hit
Send logs in the app and post the code in Discord. That gives us everything we need to look into it.
How to join- Apply for beta
with Discord and grab the installer from your Account page
- Log in to the app, attach your client, pick a bot and try a dry run first
