It will be a lot easier if you keep the first post in thread updated with current information about pricing and quantities available. People can read through the details of the thread to find out more specifics later.
This practice is common for threads about software releases with periodic updates. Most users don't care about each revision over time; they just want what's current, and the model will work well for this kind of transaction. Unless they want to read through the history of transactions, users mainly want to ready your current offer rather than a bunch of "bump" messages. It helps keep potential customer interest while making the forum more productive for us. Everybody wins!
Of course, it's your thread, and you can treat it as you see fit. I figure I may be a noob on this forum, but I still have decades of relevant business, sales and marketing experience that I can use to contribute in some way or another.
