DMA Device and Position

I wanted to know one thing about the DMA device like the CaptainDMA Black Series/Screamer/Leet etc, or anything that plugs directly into your PCIE.
Do you know if it's possible to use a DMA device while also using a vertical mount for your GPU?
I would like to use a DMA device while also keeping the aesthetic of my PC.

Is this a scenario that >>requires<< an external DMA, like the 5th generation from CaptainDMA, which is positioned outside the user's PC and needs to be connected internally from the outside? (Unless I am mistaken about how the 5th generation works).

I'd just like to use a DMA while keeping my PC looking aesthetic, if a regular DMA plug in like the Black Series/Screamer/LeetDMA is possible while using a vertical mount; I'd love to know and perhaps maybe a picture if there's an example?

So TLDR: Can I use a DMA device AND also have a Vertical Mount w/ my GPU to keep an aesthetic.

I don't care about anyone's opinion on whether I 'need' to have an aesthetic. Or if someone thinks it's not worth my time for what I want, I just want to know if someone has experience with, or knows someone who has their GPU vertically mounted and also has a DMA device directly plugged.

All I ask for is just help on my specific question, no drama; no advertising.... I just want help on whether a Vertically mounted GPU + Directly plugged in DMA device is possible. And if someone has that exact same setup if they can show an example.

I just want to reiterate that I don't want someone to give me un-needed information/opinion on whether I shouldn't do it vertically cause it's not what they would do. I just want information or perhaps pictures if it's possible to have a DMA device + a vertically mounted GPU together. I just want to keep my aesthetic if possible. I don't need advertising, or any drama.... It's just a simple help me or don't help.

Worst case scenario I just get a 5th generation CaptainDMA device.

Just use a pci riser to connect the dma card, stay away from anything branded captainDMA there is a topic about it if you want to know why

You can definitely use a PCIe riser like egal said I know several people who do. If you have any DMA questions feel free to stop by my server happy to answer questions

can you maybe elaborate why no captain? was about to order the 4th gen with on off switch and their fuser. want to use with a rise cable instead of paying 80$ more for their 5th gen.

Some prior CaptainDMA resellers exit scammed, but they have a wide number of resellers so just be careful where you buy from.

We work with Cyber-Ammo currently and they've been fine (at the time of this post) -- can't comment on any others.

Generally speaking if you pay with your credit card or paypal, you're pretty safe.

Maybe you need a nice PCIE extension cable, or a Thunderbolt docking station. There are some PCIE extension devices that are very good-looking, you can try to find them.

idk if you already decided on what to do but the 5th gen is nothing else than a 4th gen with a case and a riser cable.
I am in the same situation as you (vertical mounter and also full custom loop), i ordered 3rd gen and got a riser cable for 15€. i will just place it behind the GPU if possible and if not, i will place it just outside behind my case.

Yeah we normally recommend the 3rd gen due to cheaper price. Some people like stuff all inclusive and dont mind paying more for the 5th gen, but i've seen a few people do exactly what you did and it worked out great
