Some of you may be skeptical about this seeing as i don't have a lot of posts,
But i assure you this is all real,
First i would like to add from what i've seen how this "shine" thing on specific armors and casuals work, It takes 2 textures the actual texture of the armor or mantle or whatever and another one the shine texture and "mix's" (i say this because it literally mix's them) and produces a whole new look within the client,
Now all this happens within armor.ini in the ini folder of your client let me show you with the star ruby armor,
Below i will have two examples named Without Shine and With Shine to show you the difference,
Without Shine:
With Shine:
As you can see the "shine" adds a sort of gold'ish shine to the armor,
Now some of you may say i just edited the texture, But i will say this nothing like that can be done using a simple dds texture as it only happens on some parts and it moves with the camera, So i assure you both textures are exactly the same,
Now onto how this is possible like i explained earlier it all happens in armor.ini within the ini folder of your client i will show you now with these examples below,
Without Shine: (i will be using star ruby armor seeing as the examples were star ruby armor as well)
With Shine:
Now with that revealed all you simply have to do is set MixTex0= to 0 and MixOpt0= to 0 to make a casual or armor have no shine at all, And set MixTex0= to 999999900 and MixOpt0= to 17 to make a casual or armor have a shine, Now i haven't completely experimented with this yet so far the star ruby armor is the only thing i've tried but technically there should be no problem to do this for any casual,
Also another thing i haven't experimented on is MixOpt0= from what i can make out MixOpt stands for MixOption which we all know theres more then one option,
So i think changing 17 to any other number under or even above it should produce different results,
Once again i haven't experimented with this its all only theory so if you do this and have problems please dont blame me i warned you it was only theory,
I will start experimenting with this to see what i can get or how it works i'll update the thread if i find anything out,
:EDIT:
Oh one more thing if your looking for the shine textures (plural because theres 2 999999900 and 999999000) they are in the textures folder along with all the casual textures and what not also they're in jpeg format and should be editable,
::EDIT::
Okay, This is where i will be posting the difference of the MixOpt= numbers
18 and above:
16 and under:
Okay, So from what i see 17 is the only "good" option, I just tried 15 and turned out the same as 16 so im not going to go any further with this seeing as its just going nowhere and ends up the same, So yet again 17 is the only valid option to have a good "mix",
On another note now i will be doing this to different armors and casuals so i'll update again once i have some data from that,
:::EDIT:::
Hopefully the last one, BUT! i have some confirmation you CAN do this with by the looks of it EVERY armor and casual,
I tested it out on the ElfRobe which i know has no shine to begin with and here are the results,
Without Shine:
With Shine:
Once again i will say that i have not messed with the texture in anyway those are the originals,
::::EDIT::::
Well, From what i can see to make your very own MixTex is a bit mmm complicated it would require editing some other ini files of which i have no idea what they're called so i'll try to find out sometime,
1 more thing, if any of you copy this to another site/forum please do link to the original thread on here or give credits to the creator (me),
Thanks.
:::::EDIT:::::
more shiz,
Okay imma just post some of the most amazing things this has done to armors/casuals in my opinion,
on this post i will simply be posting some female mage robe changes,
ElfRobe:
MagicRobe:
ApocalypseRobe:
DevoutRobe:
GospelRobe:
::::::EDIT::::::
Mmmmmk, With hair its rather simple to do just grab the name of the texture file head to the ini folder an find the armet.ini file an just look for the one you want,
With heads its a bit more complicated >.>, Can't just simply take the name of the texture an search for it if you want to do it though just open head.ini an then you have to try an find which head you have, I didn't even try ._. did like 2 with not results so i was like f**k ehhtt theres like 100 different ones to try lmao.
