control mysql?

halo..
can i control mysql from 2 computer??
that means i can control my friend mysql from mine computer?
how to do it?...
i already put the ip,but,,it cannot..

if ur friend host the db follow this..

WHO HOST THE DB
1-open navicat
2-double click on the connection ur friend wish to share
3-right click and click manage user
4-new window open click on add user
5-under username put 1234 for example/for host put your ip()
6-password and confirm password use the same thing(put anything u want)
7-click ok and you're done on hoster pc

WHO SHARING THE DB
1-open navicat
2-click connection-->MySQL
3-connection name put anything u want
4-host name/ip address put WHO HOST THE DB IP it can be find here ()
5-port leave default
6-username put your username u create on WHO HOST THE DB
7-password put your password u create on WHO HOST THE DB
8-click ok then u're done..

i already done what are u told..
but,,it said cannot connect to Mysql server on...
it is the port 3306?..

if it dosent work maybe it require a static ip..i mean your ip not ur friend

i already make he to connect to my sql...but it same as i want to connect to it...how to know i'm having static ip?

it should be done by asking to your provider like streamyx if u were using it.

lol easy if you using streamyx usually not fixed line if you want static ip then you need call them like you need pay rm400+ for fixed line

Make sure you are forwarding port 3306 on the host computer. Otherwise, google the error code. There is also a tech support forum on epvp.
